Towards A Symbolic Kernel For Language

Thinking about Thinking in the 3D Laboratory Universe.

There are certain functional realities evident in being in the 3D Laboratory Universe. We naturally perceive in 3 orthogonal extensions of direction: Front and Back, Left and Right, Up and Down. These base directions have taken on a symbolic meaning when referred to in human language, they are relative terms. For example, a guy in Australia points “Up” and a guy in Greenland points “Up”, they are absolutely pointing in different directions, but relatively, they’re both correct. We perceive things to be internal or external to the self, Inside and Outside. Geometrically, we’re at Origin, or (0, 0, 0), or perhaps a Quaternion Identity (0, 0, 0, 0), with your heading facing Positive Z. Since we have an inside and an outside, we must designate our edge. If we extend a unit radius, a “Perception Vector”, in every direction, we have defined a boundary condition, our volume, a Unit Sphere, a body, a thing, a “this”, a “that”, a being.

Due to the nature of the 3D Laboratory Universe, we can observe that every “thing” has a primary rotational component to its being or existence. When you rotate a Unit Sphere, you have to rotate it about its pole, or rotational axis. The anchor for this standing wave is the Self, as designated by the term “I”, with its symbolic top and bottom caps, indicating not only an axis, but also a boundary where it / the Self stops. Emergent from this is the fact that there is now a known region of the Self, and that beyond it, which is not the Self but rather the World. Whirling around, we now see the many places our perception vector can take us.

You can get bored to the core, standing in place, spinning just to hold your drawers up. Perception makes us aware that there are other bodies in the worldspace, and we notice that some of the other bodies are closer, and others are further away. To reach them, we have to translate from one absolute position and rotation, to another position and possible rotation. We note that if we move, our perspective changes when our position or rotation changes. It appears that some of the bodies that were closer are now farther away, and some of the farther away bodies are now closer, and others appear almost unmoved in relation to the Self. The position of the other bodies has some relation to ours, different than their absolute coordinates.

Given the emergent properties of the 3D Universe and a Self, situated at some origin, with other bodies present elsewhere, these can be defined as a series of numeric magnitudes, with axes corresponding to the “Situational Vector” of that Self. A Situational Vector describes a Self with the Z-Axis indicating a Time Axis, the Y-Axis indicating a Self Axis, and the X-Axis indicating a Volition. The Unit Sphere describes the boundary condition Self-Not Self. Everything Not Self is the medium through which all interactions take place, the 3D Laboratory Universe itself. The Self is described as a boundary condition because although it can differentiate inside from outside, it cannot fundamentally separate from its environment or its perception. Since the 3D Laboratory Universe itself is not a static field, and things change position, you better get moving if you want to survive. All movements within the field, through their occupational disturbances propagate wave signatures within the medium.

As the Self passes, collides off of, integrates with, or diverges from other bodies, it gains knowledge through its history of interactions. Since all things have a rotational signature, a waveform, a sound if you will, that allows them to be perceived, and knowledge of that transient perception stored as a signature of particular functionality. Should we wish to reflect on any previous interactions, or relay an experience to another being, we need a means of communication. Those we communicate with should not need an instruction manual or a wall of books to understand our communicated experience. To best reflect our interactions would be to mimic them, to pantomime them, to act them out, or to speak about them essentially.

We are discussing at this point a kernel. To define a means of communication inherently introduces language, whether it be by sign, movement of body, written, spoken, or in other inscribed form. Language must serve the function of relaying knowledge to be useful and effective when immersed in the 3D Laboratory Universe environment. It is often assumed that the English Alphabet is an arbitrary series of glyphs arrived at through centuries of ale and posted bills arguing over who belongs in the town stockades, but this is not the case. By divine natural wisdom, the order of the English Alphabet, and the common form of glyphs it uses are emergent from the functional energetic phenomena inherent in the sounds perceived. Each sound and the corresponding glyph are representational of an energetic dynamic inherent to an evolving universe and the perception of beings existing within it.

Achieving Functional Natural Language Understanding

Overlaps of language, function, and sound are present in onomatopoeia, and are testable scientifically, such as the observed “Bouba-kiki Effect” where almost universally the test subjects continually labeled a jagged shape as Kiki and a rounded one as Bouba, regardless of their upbringing or language. These sounds are inherently different, Kiki is more angular when spoken, Bouba is more rounded, the glyphs of their spelling contain mostly angles in Kiki and mostly curves in Bouba. You must agree that a Bee looks very busy buzzing around whilst doing its business busily.

AI Research is presently focused on a “data layer” approach that can harvest contextual information from this Natural Language Kernel (NLK), but is entirely unaware of the calculations at the core of language. ChatGPT does not know why the Bee buzzes, it just knows that 10,000,000 instances of buzzing bees have been printed. Some prominent AI scientists have called these Large Language Models “stochastic parrots”, others have called them dangerous. Their lack of context is concerning.

Achieving a functional language model that uses a true NLK opens up the possibility of a Universal Translation engine, not one that inserts arbitrary cultural symbols through cross-referencing, but one that reveals the core dynamics of energetic interactions. Further, a functional NLK can relate previously divorced regions of language inference.

The English Alphabet has 26 letter values, which in combination can describe any “thing” in the universe or action that can be taken. Let A equal 1 as the beginning of the Alphabet, with B equal to 2, up to Z equals 26. Let’s also posit that each letter is a designator of an energetic dynamic, something is doing something. Let us also posit that the dynamic of each of the letters is in series, where the next dynamic emerges from the previous. Let’s take a journey through the Alphabet’s dynamics and see how that emergence looks.

  1. A “this”, A “that”, A “thing”. Once A thing realizes its Boundary Condition of Self-Not Self, realizes Being – that it exists and can command itself. The capital letter A is a delta, standing on two legs. The small form a is drawn in various ways, there’s a circular region pressed into the self. A as an energetic indicates Animation, to Animate, a Change.
  2. The glyph B is a graph of a point on a wheel rolling twice on a surface, indicating recursion, self similarity through revolution. B as an energetic means to Be, exist, or command.
  3. The letter C is a circle with an opening, allowing ingress and egress to the center. We can think of an eye, for example, which we can see with and indicates a point of focus. C as an energetic means to Center, or see.
  4. If you move the Center, it Diverges. The letter D is indicated by the Self glyph of I, with a semicircle radiating from it. D as an energetic indicates divergence or dis-integration.
  5. Once the Center Diverges, that is the very definition of Energy. The letter E indicates the positive, negative and ground of an energy flow, with the charge stems coming off from the conduit orthogonally. The small form e denotes generative rotational energy projection.
  6. The letter F is similar to the glyph for Energy, but has one of the poles removed. This indicates Force, or more sublimely, Fertility. The fricative “f” is pronounced by Forcing air out of your mouth, projecting. Things Flow in a system because of imbalance in potentials.
  7. The letter G indicates Generation, and more sublimely, Gravity. The glyph is a spiral, spirals spontaneously arise in draining waters, galactic formations, hurricanes, dust devils, the growth of living things.
  8. The letter H indicates a bonding, connected and differentiated by similarity. Who, what, where, when, why, and How all need an answer. You are trying to differentiate each one from the connected set.
  9. The letter I indicates the Self. I is the designated Y-Axis of the Situational Vector.
  10. Counting off, we see that the letter I is number 9. Humans work in base 10, so this indicates the completion of the first internal set of ordinals.
  11. K indicates Kinetic action. It is the first externalized form of energetic where a Self can effect a change in its environment or a reaction in another thing.
  12. L indicates Light, and conveys information as a vital emissive component of the 3D Laboratory Universe. A kinetic action would be conveyed via Light to another observing being.
  13. M indicates a Matrix, a completed set in a particular configuration, or more sublimely, Matter or Mother. M is the only letter where you close your mouth at the end of pronunciation, indicating a completion.
  14. N indicates Next, or more sublimely, Nature. In the order of the Alphabet, the comes between M and N. M and N in combination “mn” start with the mouth closed and end with the mouth open. N and M in combination start with the mouth open and end with the mouth closed. Ergo, MN means to come out of, and NM means to go into. What goes out of, and what goes into, are defined by what is between the M and the N. Your Name is given in to you, but you mnemonically remember for later. You give something a number, but its amount comes out of it. A New Moon goes into and comes out of. A Minimum is the part that goes into that comes out of. We are starting to get into the structure of the kernel algorithms with the above information in hand.
  15. O indicates a Circle, a concept aligned to an origin or orifice. Orifices are generally interfaces for processing of the external to self conditions, whether it be stomata on plants respiring, or your mouth, listen up, can you see what I’m saying?
  16. P indicates Power, potential force, it is the F with the stems joined by a semicircle, pent up. The lips are pursed at the start of it, and the force of air pressure is built up to be released suddenly.
  17. Q indicates a Quest. The letter Q is a circle broken by a shaft, a queue waits to go into the movie theater, a quest tries to find what’s inside the circle. A question tries to find an answer, it is outside the circle, wanting to know the contents. Q has an algorithmic rule, it is always followed by U, because -you- have to go on a quest. You wait in a queue. An inquiry needs an answer to the question. Something outside is trying to penetrate another thing, without displacing it.
  18. R indicates Intensity, as in tensed inwards. A dynamic system to understand this better is: Fire, fire forces itself outward but part of its energy is returned unto itself, or tensed inwards so that it can continue to project outwards. Reification, or irreverence, or resurrection all bring this same intensity into focus. The growling of an animal or an engine shows you without any spelling. The letter R is a Self with a cone of Power emanating from it as with the letter K, with the upper stem connecting back, returning some of the energy to the Self recursively.
  19. S indicates Source, the essence of what it is. Its glyph is similar to a helix or sin wave, its phonetic describes the hiss of a serpent, or the pressure release of a steam valve.
  20. T indicates Integration. Integration happens at right angles, an orthogonal phenomenon. If a table is not orthogonal to the pull of gravity, it’s not a table, it’s an incline. It is not able to T, therefore it is not t-able, a table, and it is not yet T time.
  21. U indicates a cup by its shape, a Receptacle. Upon Integration with other things, the Self becomes a Receptacle for those things.
  22. V indicates Vibration. The letter V is shaped like a delta, or one cycle of a vibrational wave. Velvet is like a sheet of deltas due to its weave. To have vim and vigor means one is alive.
  23. W indicates Will. The glyph is a double delta, vibrating vibration, the motive force behind that which is the cause of the vibration. Wow, to bend.
  24. X indicates Crossing of Force Lines. The glyph shows this explicitly. Conceptually, it is found in the words “exit”, “index”, and “sex”. To exaggerate is to pass the reasonable limits of a description. An Axis is also where two orthogonals cross and rotate around.
  25. Y indicates Strength. The glyph is like a delta pushing down, or incorporating into the Self, and the “why” that gives things their strength of being in the form that they present. Young and youthful describe the idea of strength given to form by its condition.
  26. Z indicates Opposing Forces Negating Each Other. The glyph is two lines of force with a cancellation slash adjoining them, indicating a nullification between two forces in a system. This is entirely logical for ending the sequence, as these component forces balance, energy gets displaced or animated and we are back to the beginning of the cycle.

The intention behind these assignments of dynamic energetics to the English Alphabet, the language of Angles, is to reduce the present opacity in language models and the linguistics supporting them. This model above is fully testable.

Sequence Testability

An example of its testability is to add any two letters together by their index (A=1, Z=26), and see that the sum is the emergent dynamic from the combination of the summed energetics.

The first useful bench experiment to show the emergent properties of the English Alphabet and its energetic dynamics is to Animate each dynamic in the series, or add 1, and see if the next dynamic in the sequence is the emergent property of animating the previous. As follows:

If you Animate Animation, you will Be, Exist, or Command.

If you Animate a Command, it is Centered.

If you Animate the Center, it Diverges.

If you Animate Divergence, that’s Energy.

If you Animate Energy, that’s force.

If you Animate Force, it generates.

If you Animate Generation, it is Each.

If you Animate Each, it is the Self.

If you Animate the Self, it has the Capacity to Generate.

If you Animate the Capacity to Generate, it becomes Kinetic.

If you Animate the Kinetic, it becomes Light.

If you Animate Light, it becomes a Matrix.

If you Animate a Matrix, that’s Next.

If you Animate Next, that’s a Circle.

If you Animate a Circle, that’s Power.

If you Animate Power, you become In-tensed.

If you Animate Intensity, you draw from the Source.

If you Animate the Source, it Integrates.

If you Animate Integration, you become a Receptacle.

If you Animate a Receptacle, it Vibrates.

If you Animate Vibration, that is Will.

If you Animate Will, it is a Crossing of Force Lines.

If you Animate the Crossing of Force Lines, this is Strength.

If you Animate Strength, that is Opposing Forces Negating Each Other.

If you Animate Opposing Forces Negating Each Other, they are both now Animated.

This base proof demonstrates the emergent properties of the sequenced Alphabet. The glyphs reference phononics which arise out of subatomic and atomic level interactions, and as creatures built out of this energetic “grit” of the Universe, the knowledge of these energetic “sounds” is built into our brain, palate and tongue so that we can communicate events in the 3D Laboratory Universe from one thing to another thing.

Letter Combinations

There are other relationships evinced from the energetic dynamics as analysis continues. In our onomatopoeic descriptions of the Universe, and the energetics experienced, we find that certain phononic combinations stochastically arise much more frequently across all languages, while other possible phononic combinations are rare or nonexistent. We find in some examples that a letter combination, when reversed, has a corresponding energetic.

For example, let’s take the letter combination “TR”, and its obverse “RT”: we have a TRee, which has a RooT; we can also see that the TRee has Energies, whereas the RooT has Origins; when we TuRn something, it RoTates; a RoTor produces ToRque.

Let’s take another combination “LK”, and its obverse “KL”: if we LiKe something, we may LooK at it, LicK it, or LacK it, and it is LucKy to have it; if we don’t LiKe something, we may want to KiLl it, or CuLl it with a hard “c”, and an anKLe is an anti-KiLl device as you run from that which is trying to CuLl you to KiLl you.

“MN” and “NM” is another combination with a significant relationship when reversed. Physically, with “MN” the mouth is closed at the beginning and opens at the end of pronunciation, whereas “NM” begins with an open mouth and ends with a closed mouth. “MN” means to come out of, “NM” means to go into. After counting a set, you assign it a NuMber, which is designated by the aMouNt within the set. A MaNe and a MoaN both come out. A NaMe is given to a man, and NuMb indicates a MiNimal aMouNt of sensation comparatively. A New MooN goes into and comes out each MoNth, a MiNiMum is the part that goes into that comes out of – it is there, just barely.

“LR” and “RL” are also found in reflexive meanings often. You “LuRe” something in, but things “RoLl” out and away. You may know the “LoRe” of a story you heard, or you may play a specific “RoLe” in it. A “LaiR” hides within in a space, a “RaiL” travels out in a line. If you rest on your “LauReLs”, it’s the “LoRe” of your achievement and the “RoLe” you played in it.

Suffixes

Let’s look at a few common suffixes in English, for example, “ER” and “EST” as comparative and superlative. “ER” says Energy In-tense, whereas “EST” says Energy Source Integrates. Where “ER” indicates an effort to become more like its comparator, the “EST” has fully become its essence.

“ING” is common in English, used at the end of many verbs as a constructor for “gerunds”, a special class of action. “ING” says Self Next Generates, contextually describing an active process. To Speak does not necessarily indicate the actual process of speech, whereas “SpeakING” shows an active process, or “Speak”-Self-Next-Generates.

“TH” is an interesting combination, as the pronounced form is not found directly in the Alphabet. Physically, you are biting your tongue and separating your teeTH. “TH” indicates Separation: “THis” from “THat” from “The oTHer Thing”. Some languages avoid using this dynamic and choose to palatalize their “TH” although it is still transliterated this way into English frequently – “Thailand”.

Let’s take a look at the common “-TION” suffix. This says Integrate Self Origin Next, and is pronounced “shun”, as in to push away, or with less connotation, to set aside or delineate. Primarily, is the Integration of a Unit, as an “ION” defines a unit, and the unit that it defines, is that which came before the suffix.

For example: informaTION is the unit that you have been informed by; medicaTION is the unit that you have been medicated with; assimilaTION is the unit of what you’ve assimilated to. In these cases, you’ll note that there was an IntegraTION of a dynamic or property unit that emanated from elsewhere.

With “ION” as a Unit, it is sometimes letter-prefixed with an “S”, an “X”, or a “C”, yet are still pronounced with the “shun” phononic. The reason the “T” is not used in the suffix is because it is not an Integrative energetic process or property. For example: progresSION and transmisSION are both emanative processes involving flow from a Source. CrucifiXION and transfiXION are “X Marks The Spot” energetic units, the point of the crossing governs the process. “C” is the Center, suspiCION is internally generated by external concerns.

The Meaning of Silence

Non-phononic or silent letters in pronunciations also have algorithmic significance. An example is the silent “E” at the end of many words, which causes the previous vowel to have a long form pronunciation. We could say that though the Energy is silent, it modifies the emphasis or power of the previous vowel in context. “GH” is often silent, such as in niGHt, riGHt, liGHt, briGHt, miGHt, hiGH, niGH, neiGH, weiGH, and heiGHt. “GH” says Generate Each, which in the above words, is the silent part of the process, necessary but not noisy.

Word Empirics

In the examples above, we have attempted to demonstrate the algorithmic sensibilities in the English Alphabet as an emergent sequence and their phononics as energetic dynamics fundamental to the functioning of the 3D Laboratory Universe. We were indicating above that various combinations can be used together, finding that some were commutative, such as the “TR”-“RT” and “LK”-“KL” combinations, with the surrounding and external letters modifying the energetic dynamic emergent from the combination of letters, their individual dynamics, and the emergent aggregate energetic of the entire word.

Now we can actually understand the function of a Word by its dynamics. It is no longer an arbitrary sequence of letters with a high stochastic probability of appearing in relation to other letter sequences, it is now clear why Bouba is round and Kiki is angular. This is the basis of the Natural Language Kernel.

We would like to remind readers that this is not “gematria” nor “numerology”. It is an Algorithmic Kernel built into our brains, palate, tongue, larynx, and the natural environment surrounding us as living beings. It arises from subatomic and atomic level interactions, and is the natural form of communication between things in the 3D Laboratory Universe.

While linguistics as a science seems incredibly complicated, with walls of volumes dedicated to granular analysis of cultural variance and orthographies, remember: a toddler can understand how to begin implementing the rules to communicate their experience. Occam’s Razor leads us toward two conclusions: it’s not that complicated, or it’s built into us and every thing. Regardless of opinion, these energetic dynamics are calculable and reproducible in experimentation with the NLK Algorithm.

We believe this may even be the Machine Code to the *ahem* “simulation” of the 3D Laboratory Universe.
